Fun Times at the Rally!
Hillsboro Rally Chili Competition
Competition was stiff at the April 2022 Hillsboro Rally Chili Cookoff Competition! Out of four contestants, it was determined that there were four winners. Go figure! Versions presented were a Traditional (no beans) chili, a White Chicken Chili, a "Road Kill" Chili, and a Low-Carb Chili. Prizes were presented after review by an independent evaluator. Prizes included a can of tomatoes for the white chicken chili, a can of beans for the traditional version, spices for the low-carb chili, and a pack of Tums for the Road Kill Chili.
Mardi Gras Shoe Box Floats!
It takes a lot of imagination to take a shoe box, cookie box, or whatever else you can find, and turn it into a Mardi Gras float! But thats exactly what happened at the Travlin Texans rally at Brazos Valley RV Park in Brazos, TX in March 2022. With the joy of "bons temps rouler" in the air, the Good Times were definitely Rolling! We enjoyed homemade beignets and chicory coffee, jambalaya, gumbo, as well as red beans and rice. And look at the details the ladies added to their floats! Food, fun, and memories! Let the Good Times Roll!

Grilling on the Patio at Buckhorn Lake Resort
When the sun is shining you just have to take advantage of it and do some grilling! The smell of steaks, chicken, sausage, and so much more made for a perfect day! Our Rally Masters (Bob & Nancy Spickelmier) and their Assistants (Robert & Elaine Luke) provided all the fixings and all we had to do was bring something to grill! Friendship bonds are forged around the grill in the summer here in Texas, and this day was no exception. Good times were had by all!
